Castable and Sharing Economy Transportation Company

Challenge:

A sharing economy company was facing restrictive new laws in New York City that would result in price increases for customers and increased operating costs for the company. They needed to find and engage media influencers who would speak to the adverse impact the laws would have on the constituents of local policymakers.

Solutions:

With Blackbook’s press targeting, we were able to identify members of the media that would cover these issues, serving creative to targets illustrating the impact of the policy on riders throughout NYC. To do this, Castable leveraged our data partnerships and geofencing tools to reach and activate relevant stakeholders, surrounding targets with digital ads and arming them with the tools and knowledge to hold their elected officials accountable.

Results:

The city of New York pulled back the proposed restrictions, and shifted instead to a more cooperative approach to regulation while meeting the needs of New York City’s residents and visitors using the sharing economy
